Hi Everyone!

Introducing me~

I'm Husna Azzakiyah Binte Muhammad Haniff. I'm a '97-liner. Third born out of 6 siblings ( all the middle child out there, where y'all at?)  ..... and yeap, the middle child syndrome is real, guys. 😪 but we all turn out fine, right?

I'm a malay. I thought I would have no problem blending in with all the Malaysians here and everything will be fine. But more often than not, I would get those, "Where are you from? You don't sound like a Malaysian" or on days I wear Baju Kurung to campus in an attempt to "fit in", they'll ask me, "Is there any event you're attending today? You look so formal." Haha

That's the thing, guys. We should not try to fit in. We should embrace ourselves and our unique traits and celebrate differences and diversity. We'll be happier that way lah. (read: - lah)

Well, I am from Singapore. Your neighbor down south. Hehe

Although Singapore is a secular country, I find no problem practising my faith and for that Alhamdulillah, I am truly fortunate. Growing up, I've always been in a religious setting. I got my formal education in religious schools.

Madrasah Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiah and Madrasah Al-Maarif Al-Islamiah....the very place that had contributed in nurturing me and moulding me to be the person I am today. 

And I reckon this university, IIUM shall be one as well. With that, I start my journey of self-discovery, self-betterment and dakwah here.
